
The 32nd Junior National Fencing Championship was held in Patna, Bihar, from December 2nd to 5th, 2024. This prestigious event brought together over 900 young fencers from across India to compete at the Patliputra Sports Complex. Organized by the Bihar State Sports Authority and the Bihar Fencing Association under the aegis of the Fencing Association of India, the championship showcased the growing talent in the sport of fencing.
Following this, the 68th National School Games for Under-19 Boys & Girls in Fencing were conducted from February 10th to 14th, 2025, also at the Patliputra Sports Complex. This event was organized by the School Games Federation of India, providing a platform for school-level athletes to demonstrate their skills.
More recently, Bihar hosted the 7th Khelo India Youth Games from May 4th to 15th, 2025, across five cities including Patna, Rajgir, Gaya, Bhagalpur, and Begusarai. The event featured over 10,000 athletes competing in 28 sports disciplines, including fencing. Bihar achieved its best-ever performance, securing 7 golds among a total of 36 medals, marking a significant improvement from previous editions.
